Renovation of the City’s Skate Park at San Antonio Park is now under way. New ramps are being installed, which were designed based on public feedback through a public participation process. The project is funded through a grant of $150,000 received by the State. Installation of ramps are projected to be completed by early May, at which time the Skate Park will reopen for use.
The second phase of the project will be the addition of solar powered lights, which will be installed in mid-June. The lights are being funded by King City Community Power (KCCP) and a donation by Pilot Power Group, the City’s operator of KCCP.
The City will host a Grand Reopening Ceremony for the King City Skate Park on June 21st at 5:30 p.m. This will coincide with National Skateboard Day. It will feature a formal dedication and skateboarding demonstrations.
