NEW BUS SERVICE

A new bus route serving King City has been added by Monterey Salinas Transit (MST).  It is part of MST’s pandemic recovery and goal to provide more frequent and reliable service to southern Monterey County.  Line 34 will provide a bus every 30 minutes on weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is designed as a local circulator route with designated stops in most sections of the community, including key destinations like the downtown, King City shopping center, King City High School, Mee Memorial Hospital, King City Skate Park, and Hartnell College – King City Education Center.

There will be timed transfers with Line 23, so residents can make connections from most areas of town to service to Salinas and other areas of the county.  The current “On-Call” service will be discontinued for the general public, but the RIDES paratransit service will continue to be available for anyone with a disability that prevents them from using MST’s regular fixed route bus service.  More information on MST services is available at www.mst.org.
