The City Council is comprised of five members elected by District to represent the community. The City Council, as the legislative body, represents the entire community and is empowered by the City Charter to formulate Citywide policy. The mayor serves a two year term and Councilmembers serve four-year terms with expiration occurring at staging intervals.
The City Council makes decisions, establishes policies and enacts laws on behalf of the voters for the betterment of the King City Residents. The City Council seeks guidance and input from City residents in order to carry out their duties. City of King maintains a Council-Manager form of government and is a charter city.
City Council
