The Public Works Department oversees the City’s franchise agreement for refuse collection and recycling services and compliance with all State reuse and recycling regulations.
Refuse services are provided by Waste Management, Inc. In addition to weekly service, a large item drop-off event takes place three times per year. A landfill drop-off facility is also available to the public nearby at 52654 Jolon Road, King City.
The City is a member of the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority, who assists the City in providing recycling services and programs to comply with State requirements.
