The Department of Public Works is dedicated to providing quality infrastructure that enhances economic growth and civic vitality. Public Works performs a wide variety of tasks and is assigned the responsibility of designed, construction and maintenance of the City’s public facilitates such a streets, sidewalks; sanitary sewers, storm drains, grading, swimming pools, and improving traffic safety. Public Works also manages public utility installation plans, designing of City’s utilities infrastructure, as well as the review and approval of all subdivisions, and issuance of encroachment permits. The department also coordinates a variety of activities and services including specifications for public works related construction projects; the design and inspection of public facilities; and provides custodial service to City facilities and City parks.
