Engineering Department

It is the mission of this department to be a source of information, assistance and responsive the leadership for the protection of the Public interest in matters related to the planning, construction and preservation of City’s infrastructure and facilities.

The Engineering Division is committed to administer, monitor and coordinate a comprehensive Capital Improvement Program that incorporates adopted Council goals and policies, City infrastructure requirements and the needs of the general public. Engineering provides inspection of construction projects such as subdivisions, and monitors the execution of encroachment permits as well as coordination of traffic control maintenance.

The Department also ensures compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), the Subdivision Map Act and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
