BLUE ZONES WEEKLY COMMUNITY WALK/BIKE/RUN

The City of King is launching a new weekly walk/bike/run event in conjunction with the Blue Zones Project.  The Blue Zones Project is a community well-being initiative designed to implement built environment improvements, food practices, and more active oriented lifestyles associated with areas around the world where people live the longest.

Beginning on September 8th through October 25th, the community is invited to meet at the Town Square at  200 Broadway Street next to the King City Cinema for a half-mile walk, bike or run event every Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.  It will be an opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and make friends, meet City officials, and promote good health and happiness.

The kickoff event on September 6th will feature entertainment and free food.  Those who participate on a regular basis will qualify to be entered in a drawing to win $500 and other great prizes.

Help the City make this event a success and transform King City into one of the most healthy places to live in the world.  Make the weekly Community Walk/Bike Run event part of your weekly schedule on a regular basis and bring your friends and family.  For more information, please contact City Hall at 831-385-3281.
