Basketball Season is back! Youth Basketball 2012 - January 28th -February 25th. The last day to register is Saturday, January 7th from 10am-12 noon in the King City Recreation Center, 401 Division Street. Registration Fee is $35.

About City of King:
City of King is situated on Highway 101 in South Monterey County in the heart of the California's Salinas Valley, City of King is approximately 145 miles south of San Francisco, 105 south of San Jose , and 50 miles north of Paso Robles. The city's economic base is largely dependent upon agriculture with food processing and packing the primary sources of employment. Con Agra, Gilroy Foods, Meyer Equipment, L.A. Hearne, San Bernarbe Vineyards and Gill Onions are major agricultural related employers. Mee Memorial Hospital and Casey Printing typify other sectors of the business community. City of King encompasses approximately 2.8 square miles with an elevation of 330 feet above sea level. The city was incorporated in 1911 and is governed by a five member city council. The city's economic outlook continues to be positive. The city is development friendly and continues to attract new businesses and residential housing projects that improve the quality of life in the community. The City Council and business community will work diligently with potential investors to facilitate appropriate development projects.
