DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE WORKSHOP SCHEDULED ON NOVEMBER 3RD

The City of King has scheduled a second public workshop to obtain community input for development of a downtown streetscape plan.  The workshop will be held at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on November 3, 2016.

The first step of the City’s new economic development efforts is to prepare a streetscape plan for the downtown area, which is intended to lead to private investment and revitalization of downtown businesses.  Likely items to be included in the plan are sidewalk and street tree improvements, crosswalk improvements, expansion of diagonal parking, addition of street furniture, murals, and redesign and addition of corner bulbouts.   The plan will focus on Broadway Street from First Street to San Lorenzo Drive.

The consultant took input from the first workshop and will now be presenting draft ideas for public feedback at a second workshop prior to finalizing the plan for Council consideration.  You may contact 386-5925 for more information.
