Mark your calendar. The next District Block Parties are scheduled on Thursday, October 4th from 5:00 p.m. A block party will be held in each of the five districts so one will be close to your neighborhood. The parties are part of the “District Watch” program, which was formed last year to encourage the community to work together to make our neighborhoods safer. Come enjoy free hot dogs and other food, entertainment, a bounce house for the kids and public safety information. It is an opportunity to meet your District Officers, learn about the District Watch program, and get to know your neighbors. It will also help residents learn how to organize their own block parties. The City is waiving all block party permit fees for one year to help promote neighborhoods to work together.

Check the City’s website during the next couple weeks for announcements on specific block party locations. You may also determine your district on the website under “Residents” and “Voting Information.”
